For more than 100 years, Martins Point Plantation was the center of agricultural commerce on Wadmalaw Island and had its own currency, store and school. The island telephone system and post office were located at the plantation house where crops and people were ferried to the mainland from a private landing. The historic waterfront cemetery is a reminder of plantation history. This site features old growth live oaks, hardwoods and pines and approximately 4 acres of open pasture.
